Tradicional Building Techniques
COURSE EARTH ARCHITECTURES*
The Earth Architectures will promote in partnership with and support the association ARQCOOP and CentrodaTerra a theoretical-practical course with Earth Construction will take place in Lisbon during the month of July. RECIPIENTS: Students, graduates and professionals in the fields of Architecture, Civil Engineering, Heritage, Archaeology, Research and Technology of Materials, and all interested in the subject of building with raw earth who want specific training, broadening and deepening their knowledge in this area.
OBJECTIVES: Domain of theoretical concepts and practical tools related to building with raw earth, giving learners the knowledge needed for implementation in project and construction of various traditional and modern technologies of earth construction.
PROGRAMME: - Introduction, specificity, diversity and universality of earth construction. - Sustainability, construction practices and resource management. - Techniques constructive with raw land - Restoration of the built heritage on land conservation and maintenance. - Identification, analysis and testing of soils for construction. - Construction of a prototype model in Taipa.

TIME SCHEDULE: 23 hours,
12, 14, 16 17, 20, 22 and July 24,
Work days from 19:00 to 22:00, and Saturdays from 10h00 to 14h00.
REGISTRATION: € 200 (VAT Exempt under paragraph 14 of Article 9. Of the CIVA).
